When did you know you were meant to be a Chiropractor?
“I was first introduced to chiropractic when I went to an appointment with my mother when I was thirteen years old. The chiropractor turned on chiropractic educational video for me while my mom was adjusted. He was so relaxed, nice and Chiropractic made so much sense. The body has the ability to heal as long as there is no interference. That year my mom bought me my first spine. That spine accompanied me to Chiropractic College and is still in use in my office.”
Did you have an experience where you were healed?
Yes, although my family knew about Chiropractic I did not go to see one when I was young and needed one. I used to suffer from low back pain that would leave me paralyzed me on the floor. Every time I lifted the laundry up the stairs, when I was in high school, my spine would go into spasm. The spasms were so intense that I could not turn my head or get up from the ground. The spasms and pain would last for 30 minutes and then subside. When my favourite show was on, I could not even get up to watch it. I remember laying on the ground one time holding a small mirror up so I could see the television in the reflection.
One night I was invited to hear an evangelist from Uganda speak at a church in Michigan. While he was speaking I felt like I was going to be healed that same day. When I went to the front the man touched my back and it felt like fire ran through my back. That was the last day that I ever felt low back pain. This experience solidified my confidence in three very important points:
- The body has the ability to heal.
- The hands can be a method of making changes in the body like during the chiropractic adjustment.
- Research is catching up and proving the why behind what happens everyday when people are healed in the Chiropractic office and through other healing ministries.
